Take In Some Culture While You Relax With Holidays To Tenerife

There really is nothing like a holiday to the Canary Islands. Beautiful beaches, luxurious hotel resorts, water sports, culture, history and not to mention the food and drink all come together to make holidays here a holiday of a lifetime.

Deciding where you actually want to go will be your hardest decision when you go to book your Gran Canaria holiday! If that’s you, then don’t fret, as we have put together a list of our favourite destinations in the Canary Islands:

Lanzarote

Holidays to Lanzarote are perfect for thrill seekers looking for some adventure. The most famous volcanic island, Lanzarote has a great selection of excursions and tours, the most well known being to Timanfaya National Park, which still has a small amount of volcanic action bubbling away under the surface. Art fans will also be bowled over by the influence of artist Cesar Manrique, which can be seen all over the island in public art sculptures and the Manrique Cactus Garden.

Gran Canaria

Holidays to Gran Canaria have something for everyone. Unlike the almost desert terrain of the other islands, parts of Gran Canaria are surprisingly lush and green, with valleys in the north and centre and pine forests too. Gran Canaria  is an island you need to take time to appreciate and explore, with banana plantations and sand dunes popping up where you won’t expect to see them.

Tenerife

With long stretches of sandy beaches and plenty to see and do including golf courses and a range of excursions including Catamaran sailing and diving, there’s always plenty to do on holidays to Tenerife. Unbeknown to a lot of tourists here, Tenerife also has great cultural and historical hotspots too. The capital, Santa Cruz, is a friendly destination with a great choice of museums and galleries; walking trips in the Teno Mountains are popular; along with a visit to Teide National Park.

Wherever you decide to, the one thing that’s for sure is that you will come back feeling recharged and refreshed, and of course planning your next trip back there!
