American Airlines Running New Service From Manchester Airport To New York JFK
American Airlines recently announced that it will be running a new service, from Manchester Airport to New York JFK. The service started running on May 16th and will continue until September 30th, 2010.
Operating up to seven times per week, the service offers the ideal solution for a week-long break in the US, with one of the hottest destinations in the country. Whereas other parts of America may offer more in the way of family holidays, beaches and amusement parks, New York is the perfect destination for shopping, night life and socialising. Its not know as the city that never sleeps for nothing!
Should you want to take advantage of the new summer service, flights will cost you around £530 for a non-stop flight, although if youre happy to make a connecting flight youll be able to get it for between £50-100 cheaper. Bear in mind though youll also need to pay for travel insurance and secure parking at the airport, although the Manchester airport parking facilities are good and not overly expensive.
If youre trying to cut down the price of your flights, have a look at last minute deals online, as you can usually save yourself some money on your tickets. As far as airport parking goes, try and spend a decent amount of time searching on the internet. Be sure to search for the airport youre after and click on more than just the first one or two links, have a proper look around as it gives you a greater chance of finding a suitable deal. You should find you come across lots of companies offering to supply you with airport parking, which should allow you to note down and compare all the quote and save yourself some money.
You should also be careful with your currency; dont just change your pounds or dollars at the airport, as so many people do. Keep hold of your pounds or dollars and properly shop around, youre almost guaranteed to find a better deal in an alternative place if youre willing to spend the time having a look around. The Post Office often offer no commission on foreign currency exchange, although sometimes they will want you to have an account with them before allowing you to exchange your currency.
