Airline Prepares for Ibiza Sizzler

Cala de San Vicent, Ibiza

As the summer season prepares to arrive in Ibiza, British Airways has revealed that to allow partygoers quick and easy access to the clubbing getaway they have introduced a new direct flight. Launching the CityFlyer service which takes clubbers directly to the Balearic Island in only two and a quarter hours, those looking for a summer sizzler in one of the largest nightlife hotspots in the world can now board a flight at London City and reach their destination in only a few hours.

Utilising London City's central location in addition to their new Embraer 190 aircraft BA revealed that flights both return and depart on Sundays, Mondays and Fridays, timed purposefully so as to avoid the problems that partygoers often face with midnight departures. In addition, to keep up with the popular demand as the summer months continue BA said that an extra Wednesday service to Ibiza would be implemented in July and August.

With BA's inaugural flight behind them the additional flights may prove particularly popular to London individuals looking for a quick getaway to one of the most famous party locations in the world. Described as a service "perfectly placed for work-hard play-hard customers that are after convenience, style and comfort," commercial manager of the new route, Luke Hayhoe, said that the careful timing of flights allowed for the maximum partying time on the island without missing nights due to badly scheduled flights. And with Ibiza's draw remaining as popular as ever, especially as people look to cut their expenses in light of the recession and focus on one main holiday, the new London City route provides the perfect opportunity for a quick stop to party heaven.
